Listen Up #4

Nov. 25 saw the release of The Weeknd’s new album “Starboy.” As of now, all 18 tracks on the album are charting hits. Some of the most popular songs on the album are “Six Feet Under,” “I Feel it Coming,” featuring Daft Punk and, of course, “Starboy.”

Childish Gambino dropped his new album entitled “Awaken, My Love,” which is also already very popular. The quality of Gambino’s music is, as usual, widely debated; however, the compelling performance he puts on is undebatably electric. Some must hear songs on this album include “Redbone,” “Boogieman” and “Riot.” For this album, Gambino totally threw out rapping and went for a washed out guitar and tribal beats sound.

For the first time since 2012, the Rolling Stones added another album to their already impressive list of chart toppers. Their newest album, titled “Blue and Lonesome,” sounds entirely different from the rest of their music as it takes on a blues rock sound. Must hear songs on this album are “Just Your Fool,” “Commit a Crime” and “Little Rain.”
