Orchestra

Are you looking to be included in a group of people similar in age that meets every day and plays fun, yet challenging music? If you answered yes to this question, orchestra may be for you.

“Orchestra is a group of select people that play string instruments such as violin, viola, cello, bass (concert orchestra) and higher orchestra has band instruments also,” said Sarah Stolt, sophomore at Canton.

A solid reason to join is to have a safe place at P-CEP, especially if you find harder music enjoyable. Stolt joined because she loves to play with a group of people similar in age and she loves her instrument. If you are thinking of joining, you can add orchestra as a class when you’re choosing classes for the following year.

Orchestra is no doubt, a place where you will feel you belong if you love playing instruments and are willing to put in the hard work when necessary.

“Orchestra is my favorite thing I’ve gotten involved in at school because everyone in there is like family and we all love each other,” said Stolt.

In addition, the orchestra plays every day, symphony 4th hour and concert orchestra 5th hour. They sometimes break out into small orchestras as well.
