River Berninger, Social Media Manager
River Berninger, a Salem senior who joined The Perspective staff in the fall of 2025, is a storyteller at heart. Whether getting lost in the pages of a novel or crafting melodies on her piano, she finds comfort in the rhythm of words and sound. Berninger cherishes the world of literature and music as well as making memories with her friends and family. Her love for music was first sparked in sixth grade choir class. She continues to tend that creative fire writing songs. Beyond her bedroom studio, River has been playing hockey since the age of nine, where on the ice, she’s just as alive and ambitious. Looking ahead, River hopes to chase her passions by exploring her interest in creative writing and English attending MSU in the fall.
