P-CEP is a diverse community with differing opinions and passions. In this edition of Voices of P-CEP, students share their perspectives to answer this question: Tell me about an issue you are passionate about.

Answer: “I really struggle with knowing what’s in my food, because sometimes the labels are misleading, especially on protein items. They may have a certain amount of protein but then they’re really just processed and they’re not very good for you. So, it’s really important for me as an individual, for me to look and look over the nutrition facts and what’s actually in my food.”

Answer: “Probably climate change, but more specifically on AI and how people depend on it for everyday things and how it affects the environment. I’ve always been passionate about it, and I don’t think a lot of people acknowledge it or even care about it, which is really disappointing to me.”

Answer: “Animal Abuse. I have grown up loving animals, and I truly don’t think that they can do anything wrong. They’re just like really sweet creatures and just hurting them for no reason is, I think, wrong.”

Answer: “I’m really passionate about the homeless. I don’t really believe in homelessness, and I think we should try to get them off the streets just to better the world.”

Answer: “I’m passionate about climate change because in the North Pole, it’s getting warmer and the ice is melting and the polar bears don’t have anywhere to live.”

Answer: “ICE’s policies and how they can do basically anything and get away with it.”
